Description
This Miele vacuum has 1200 watts of suction power that allows for the highest levels of carpet care. The electrobrush allows you to deep clean carpets. It has an adjustable working height with a stainless steel telescopic tube. It comes with a comfortable ergonomic handle and a flexible hose connector. The floor head is easily maneuvered with lever action, which takes pressure off your wrist. This vacuum can be converted to a HEPA vacuum cleaner with additional HEPA filtration (sold separately).
There are six suction settings to suit the type of flooring or area being cleaned. Reducing suction power reduces the amount of effort required to maneuver the floor brush. There are several symbols on the controls indicating what type of use the settings are suitable for. The following suction settings are on the Miele C1 Cat & Dog vacuum: curtains/fabric, upholstery/cushions, deep pile carpets/rugs/runners, energy-saving (this setting is quiet too), low pile carpet/rugs, and hard flooring/deeply soiled carpets and rugs. If suction seems too high when using the adjustable floorhead, reduce suction until it’s easier to maneuver. You do this by adjusting the suction power setting manually (as described above). However, you can temporarily reduce suction power by opening the air inlet valve on the handle also.
All of the accessories lock into each other with an audible click. They connect securely but can be disengaged at the touch of a button to attach another accessory. All Miele accessories are ready to use, either integrated or on a VarioClip for easy access. The floorhead hooks onto the rear of the vacuum canister. The vacuum canister also features a skid-free rubber bumper to avoid causing damage to household items as you move it through your home. There are also five height adjustments, so this vacuum is great for every pile type imaginable.
The STB 101 TurboBrush on this vacuum is what really makes it a top pet vacuum. The handheld Turbobrush is air powered with a 5.25-inch brush inside. Small and mighty, this brush is ideal for use on upholstery, stairs, and any other place that you would want to remove unwanted pet hair from. It has a swivel neck, making it extremely maneuverable.
The Active AirClean charcoal filter allows odors to be neutralized more effectively, while removing micro particles. To ensure that all components of the vacuum cleaner last for the average residential use of over 20 years, Miele also runs its vacuums through 1,000 hours of testing, ensuring that it runs smoothly without losing suction and other performance capabilities. Miele also tests their vacuums with multiple daily stress tests, including doorway jams, wall bumping, twisting and turning.
This vacuum also has a park system which gives you a convenient place to store the wand and floorhead during short pauses in vacuuming. To use this system, slot the floorhead into the parking attachment on the vacuum cleaner. This can also be used for storage, if the telescopic suction wand is fully retracted and the vacuum is disconnected from its power supply. Slot the floor brush downward into one of the parking attachments on the sides of the vacuum cleaner. Doing this makes the vacuum easier to carry or store.
To replace the FilterBag, press the release catches on the side of the hose connector and remove the hose. Pull out the FilterBag by the grip on the collar and lift the release catch for the dust compartment lid. Raise the lid as far as it will go (the FilterBag flap will close automatically when the lid is raised to prevent dust from escaping). Fit the new Filterbag into the holder as far as it will go and leave it folded up when you take it out of the box. Close the lid securely, making sure it clicks into position. Take care not to trap the FilterBag as you do so. Insert the hose connector into the suction socket until it clicks into position by lining up the guides on the two pieces.
